Senior Accountant

Due to growth, a well-known and respected hospitality leader is searching for a team focused Senior Accountant. Reporting to the company’s Corporate Controller, this position will have promotable potential. Only candidates who are looking for future managerial opportunities need to apply. The ideal candidate will be an individual who is highly motivated and has an excellent understanding of accounting principles (GAAP). This is a hybrid role (approximately 40% working from home).

Position Responsibilities:

• Assumes shared ownership of the company’s month-end close responsibilities including driving improvements in the overall financial processes
• Partners with the Corporate Controller and other Team members on pertinent technical accounting issues ensuring compliance with US GAAP and internal policies
• Prepares necessary year-end audit schedules and documentation to improve efficiencies with third-party audit firm
• Oversees and manages the general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the general ledger
• Implements and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting
• Provides timely and accurate balance reconciliations including intercompany accounts
• Utilizes technology to streamline processes contributing to a Best-in-Class corporate accounting department
• Consistently delivers positive results that meet business needs and fosters a collaborative team environment

Key Qualifications and Attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA candidate preferred
• Four plus years’ experience required
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and year end close processes

Compensation

• $90k+ with bonus potential
