SEC Financial Reporting Manager

A well-respected global, publicly traded company is searching for a team-focused, detailed, technically sound professional to join its Corporate Accounting team. Reporting to the Company’s VP Controller, this person will manage a small team of professionals and will own the Company’s financial reporting process including but not limited to technical accounting research and presentation. This is a highly visible, leadership-driven role.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, reviews and files Forms 10-Q and 10-K in addition to involvement in 8-K and Proxy statement filings
  • Reviews, analyzes, and documents new and complex technical accounting issues as they arise
  • Supports accounting and reporting for EPS, segment reporting, debt and equity transactions, goodwill valuation, lease accounting and footnote disclosures
  • Looks for opportunities to automate, improve workflows, and implement efficiencies in the reporting department
  • Partners with external auditors and internal teams on reporting and compliance
  • Mentors and develops a small, high-performing reporting team
  • Demonstrates strong project management skills and accountability to meet deadlines
  • Reviews and analyzes quarterly and yearly financial and management reporting for the Company
  • Contributes to ad-hoc accounting and operational initiatives

Key Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • CPA license required
  • Six plus years of financial reporting or audit experience with public companies
  • Prior Big 4 experience preferred
  • Strong technical accounting research experience preferred

Compensation:

  • $140k-$170k+ with bonus potential
