Director of Finance

Our client, a private equity-owned technology/service company, is looking for a highly qualified Director of Finance to help lead the Company’s finance function during its growth phase. Reporting to the PE firm’s CFO, this onsite position will have heavy exposure to other senior management personnel across key areas of the portfolio company including Sales, IT, HR, Accounting, Engineering as well as PE Senior Management. This role will lead a small team of finance and accounting professionals and will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month end close process overseeing a small team of accounting professionals to ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly, quarterly and year-end results.
  • Participate in the development of the business units’ plans and programs; provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to build a baseline for the budget, which will inform future resource investment, headcount planning, and company-wide target setting
  • Consolidate the business unit forecast/plans to build a composite view of the company including profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheet impacts.
  • Drive Finance transformation projects and provide financial support and guidance to maximize the profitability of Company’s transformational projects and strategic growth initiatives
  • Develop pro-forma financial modeling for strategic business projects
  • In partnership with Sales Operations, develop and monitor critical financial reporting & performance metrics; communicate actionable insights to relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare presentations and key reporting to the private equity owners and Executive Leadership Team
  • Independently screen and select CAPEX projects based on ROI, fit with short term and long term Commercial and Operational strategy
  • Build business cases and ROI models for various strategic initiatives.

Key Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred
  • CPA and/or MBA required
  • The ideal candidate would typically have 10-15 years of experience including several years leading a finance/accounting team
  • Prior experience in private equity owned environments required
  • Experience with Power BI or other data analytic reporting software preferred

Compensation

  • $170k+ with bonus potential
